Our History

1968 Manchester, Doug's first underground descent. Doug worked for Seer TV Survey and Rees Group in Old Woking for 21 years. Doug flew to Florida to learn a new injection sealing technique and took the technology around the world.  

1985 Derek joined his Dad at Seer TV Survey.  They both ran sealing rigs fighting water intrusion in foul water pipelines and manhole chambers up and down the country

Doug and Derek join forces and form Spear and Spear Ltd they win sealing contracts with Pembrokeshire Water, Wessex Water and numerous large UK construction companies 

2006 Phillip joined his Dad, Derek, keen to learn sealing and survey skills. Wendy rejoined the company in 2007 to run the office. Sadly Doug passes away in 2009.
